Technical Safety Studies

Arriscar has helped operators and EPC contractors establish whether systems in place are suitable and meet accepted standards of reliability through technical safety studies, including SIL assignment, SIL verification, fire safety studies, and hazardous area classifications.

SIL assignment is the process of identifying the reliability required for safety instrumented systems. The allocation of SIL may be achieved through Layer of Protection Analysis.

Completed Projects

Arriscar has completed several technical safety studies for numerous projects:

• Hazardous Area Classification for gas cylinder depot and manufacturing plant. Arriscar revised hazardous area classification for gas manufacture and storage, including forklift access
• SIL studies for material handling equipment and furnace protection systems
• Fire safety study for an ethylene transfer facility, LNG storage facility, and temporary LPG storage.
