Arriscar conducts fire safety studies in line with HIPAP 2 so clients can be assured their fire protection systems are adequate. A fire safety study assesses existing or proposed fire prevention, detection, protection and fighting measures against specific fire hazards that are or will be present to determine the adequacy of the fire protection measures.

These studies include hazard identification, consequence analysis, assessment of fire fighting water demand and supply (supply), and also assessments of fire extinguishers, emergency training and containment of contaminated fire fighting water.

Completed Projects

  • Ethylene transfer operations. Arriscar assessed the adequacy of existing fire fighting systems for an expansion into ethylene handling. Improvements were recommended to effectively combat fires for tanker operations.
  • LNG storage and vaporisation. Arriscar completed a fire safety study when a client converted LPG fired boilers to natural gas, and required onsite liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and vaporisation
