Gas Dispersion

Gas dispersion is important in determining the extent and severity of flash fires, vapour cloud explosions (VCE), and releases of toxic gases. The results of the modelling is used in QRA, hazardous area classifications, or simply to inform decision makers about the potential extent of hazards.

Arriscar has extensive experience accurately modelling gas releases including LNG, LPG and ammonia, among others. Our modelling is usually done using PHAST 7.1 and we have the expertise to model materials not normally included in the basic Phast library.

For more detailed or complex analysis, Arriscar uses partner organisations to conduct Computational Fluid Dynamic modelling.
