Government and Defence

Arriscar assists government agencies with specialist risk and process safety expertise in the administration of MHF legislation and land use planning. This assistance may be needed during periods of high demand, or where the agency does not have specific expertise in the areas needing review. Arriscar has also conducted risk assessments for the Royal Australian Navy.

Projects for Government Agencies:

• Assessing safety cases for NSW WorkCover. Arriscar has provided technical expertise to help NSW WorkCover during a time of high demand as the first round of safety reports have been submitted.
• Reviewing Land Use Safety Studies on behalf of the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. When required, Arriscar consultants have reviewed and commented on safety studies submitted as part of a development application for the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
• Independent Reviews of Hazard Audits on behalf of NSW Department of Planning and Environment. As part of a campaign to ensure the quality of independent Hazard Audits required as a condition of development consent, the NSW Department of Planning and Environment engaged Arriscar to assist with onsite visits and reviews of audits.
